Planning Committee
The Planning Committee is a Shared Governance Committee with members appointed by the Academic Senate, Classified Senate, Student Senate and the College President.
Charges
While the committee is responsible for college wide planning and program review, its annual charges are determined by the Shared Governance Council.
2025-2026 Committee Charges:

This includes supporting the use of common metrics across goals in multiple plans and processes, and ensuring clear connections among integrated planning efforts such as program review, the Student Equity Plan, and the resource allocation process.
- Review, evaluate and/or modify the program review process in collaboration with shared governance committees to become more meaningful for units/departments, increase the focus on equity, and connect the process with the Student Equity Plan and the work of Learning Major & Career Pathways Success Teams.
- Develop a structured process for reviewing, prioritizing and disseminating results from major College surveys. Implement tools to increase the meaningfulness of survey results, and its use to take action and create change to individual and departmental practices.
- Assist the College in leading and coordinating the process for developing the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER) for accreditation, ensuring broad engagement, alignment with standards, and integration with institutional planning efforts.
