Cooperative Work Experience Education (CWEE)

Welcome to Cooperative Work Experience Education!

CWEE is a course where students can earn between 1-4 college units for their job, internship, or volunteer experience. You do not attend a class, your job is the class!

STEPS TO APPLY:

2. Attend required orientation (see schedule below)

3. Enroll in CWEE course (see list below)

160 - GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE:
For students whose current job/volunteer work does not relate to their academic and/or career goal.

Course offered: COOP-160 

170 - OCCUPATIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
For students whose current job/volunteer work relates to their academic and/or career goal.

180 - OCCUPATIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE INTERNSHIP
For students working in a paid/unpaid internship that relates to their academic and/or career goal.

Students may earn a maximum of 16 units of occupational work experience internship during community college attendance which may be applied as electives toward graduation. Up to 12 units may be transferable to CSU (Please see your counselor for further information).
