Dismissal Reinstatement Sessions

If you have not attended courses during the last 12 months, you must complete an Admissions Application for Returning Student in order to receive instructions for a Dismissal Reinstatement Workshop.  Follow this link to complete an Admissions Application for Returning Students.

These 30 minute sessions are available in-person (except where indicated) during the posted times.  Please check workshop location closely when enrolling.   Prepare for the workshop by reviewing the time sensitive instructions available in InSite email the evening prior to appointment, completing any required forms, and arriving on time.  If you do not have access to the internet to complete required form(s) you will need to contact us for alternative completion methods. Please send email to StudentSuccess@losmedanos.edu , or call (925) 473-7788.

Workshops are limited.  It is highly recommended that you keep your scheduled appointment.

Dismissal Reinstatement Workshops are designed to help students who have been dismissed and would like to petition for reinstatement for  SPRING 2026  classes. Participating in one of the sessions below will help you navigate the reinstatement process and is one of the steps required to petition for return to school. Please Note: The Office of the California Community College Chancellor has stipulated that Alert 2 and Dismissal students are not eligible for priority registration or the California College Promise Grant. These are strong reasons to make every effort to improve your academic standing now.

Although Dismissal Reinstatement Workshops are offered year-round, a cut off date is placed two weeks prior to the start of each semester to ensure that students are adequately prepared for the term.  Each Reinstatement petition is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with no guarantee of readmission. Workshops are offered on a first-come first-served basis.

NOTE: Students who are granted readmission will be required to participate in, and successfully complete, a 6-week Counseling 34N course offered 10/20/25 - 12/12/25 before enrolling in course(s).
