Maintenance

The Facilities Maintenance Department will evaluate, prioritize, and schedule building and grounds maintenance work requests using the following criteria:

  1. Safety and Security: includes responding to immediate threats to safety or security such as code violations, lights outs, trip hazards, water leaks, etc.
  2. Student/Staff Essential Functions: includes those requests essential to meet the programmatic of instructional and support activities such as building equipment repair, heating and cooling repair, reasonable needs and function accommodations for ADA, etc.
  3. Conservation of Resources and Assets: includes preventive building maintenance, re-cycling, performance improvements of building equipment and utilities distribution (water, electricity, gas), etc.
  4. Student/Staff Enhanced Functions: includes projects which improve or enhance the existing work place for improved operational efficiency such as rearranging or adding office partitioning and furniture, mounting racks and shelves, etc.
  5. Appearance/Signage: includes projects such as improved interior or exterior signage, interior or exterior painting, carpet replacement, hanging pictures, etc.
