The Facilities Maintenance Department will evaluate, prioritize, and schedule building and grounds maintenance work requests using the following criteria:
- Safety and Security: includes responding to immediate threats to safety or security such as code violations, lights outs, trip hazards, water leaks, etc.
- Student/Staff Essential Functions: includes those requests essential to meet the programmatic of instructional and support activities such as building equipment repair, heating and cooling repair, reasonable needs and function accommodations for ADA, etc.
- Conservation of Resources and Assets: includes preventive building maintenance, re-cycling, performance improvements of building equipment and utilities distribution (water, electricity, gas), etc.
- Student/Staff Enhanced Functions: includes projects which improve or enhance the existing work place for improved operational efficiency such as rearranging or adding office partitioning and furniture, mounting racks and shelves, etc.
- Appearance/Signage: includes projects such as improved interior or exterior signage, interior or exterior painting, carpet replacement, hanging pictures, etc.
