  • Mustangs Stay Perfect with Dominant Win

    Pittsburg, CA – September 20, 2025

    Los Medanos College continued its hot start to the 2025 season with an explosive offensive performance, defeating Cabrillo College 76-29 at home on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Mustangs improved to 4-0, showcasing balance on both sides of the ball and a relentless offensive attack that racked up 735 yards of total offense.

    Quarterback Aidan Crawford led the charge through the air, completing 19 of 26 passes for 368 yards and 4 touchdowns. His favorite target, Ryan McKendry, had a monster outing with 6 receptions for 188 yards, including a 73-yard score on the game’s opening drive. Larenzo Mayfield added 7 catches for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Kevin Fowler and Myles Hunt chipped in key receptions to keep drives alive.

    On the ground, the Mustangs were just as dangerous. Jordan Barbadil paced the rushing attack with 140 yards and 4 touchdowns on just 8 carries, breaking off runs of 50 and 34 yards. Los Medanos finished with 340 rushing yards, with scores from Jacob Wasso, Jermaine Owens, and Dominic Trampetti highlighting the team’s depth.

    The defense also made its presence felt, tallying 4 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, and 2 interceptions. Sean Cervantes led the unit with 12 tackles, while Gabe Gonzalez-Kidd added 7 tackles, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery. Taishaun Glover and Bradley Cooper each picked off passes to stall Cabrillo’s comeback attempts.

    Despite Cabrillo’s strong first-half effort—highlighted by quarterback Mario Cosma’s 3 touchdown passes—the Mustangs pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Seahawks 39-8 after the break.

    Los Medanos now turns its attention to conference play, carrying momentum and confidence into the next matchup.

    Final Score: Los Medanos 76, Cabrillo 29

  • Mustangs Stay Unbeaten with 54 - 23 Road Win at Hartnell

    Salinas, CA – September 13, 2025

    The Los Medanos College football team continued its hot start to the season, powering past Hartnell College 54–23 on Saturday afternoon at Rabobank Stadium. With the victory, the Mustangs improve to 3 and 0.

    LMC opened the scoring in the first quarter when quarterback Aidan Crawford punched in a 1-yard run. From there, the Mustangs’ offense caught fire. Crawford connected with Devondre Hickerson on a 39-yard touchdown, then hit Larenzo Mayfield for scores of 28 and 52 yards. Ryan McKendry added a highlight-reel 55-yard punt return for a touchdown, giving the Mustangs a 25–0 halftime lead.

    The offensive fireworks didn’t stop after the break. Crawford found McKendry for a 70-yard strike late in the third quarter, finishing the day with 315 passing yards and four touchdowns. McKendry totaled 137 receiving yards, a receiving score, and a punt return touchdown, while Mayfield added 96 yards and two touchdowns.

    On the ground, Kevin Fowler and Jacob Wasso both broke loose in the fourth quarter, scoring on runs of 24 and 60 yards, respectively. The Mustangs tallied 217 rushing yards overall, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

    Defensively, Sean Cervantes led LMC with 11 tackles and an interception, while Linzell Agee added a sack. The Mustangs forced two interceptions and three sacks, holding Hartnell to 124 rushing yards on 49 attempts.

    Despite a late push by Hartnell, Los Medanos’ fast start and explosive playmaking proved too much. The Mustangs finished with 555 total yards of offense and controlled all phases of the game.

  • Mustangs Stay Perfect with 41 - 20 Win Over Coalinga

    Pittsburg, CA – September 6, 2025

    Los Medanos College football improved to 2-0 on the season with an explosive 41-20 victory over Coalinga College in front of the home crowd at Mustang Stadium.

    The Mustangs wasted no time, scoring on their opening drive with a 13-yard touchdown run from Jordan Barbadillo. LMC’s offense never looked back, piling up 459 total yards and delivering big plays throughout the afternoon.

    Quarterbacks Aidan Crawford and Myles Hunt kept the Coalinga defense off balance, combining for 303 passing yards and four touchdowns. Crawford connected twice with Ryan McKendry, including a 39-yard strike in the third quarter, while also hitting Alex De for an 85-yard score. Hunt added a 31-yard touchdown pass to McKendry in the second quarter. McKendry finished the day with 132 yards and three touchdowns on five receptions.

    On the ground, Barbadillo led the charge with 97 rushing yards and a score, averaging 7.5 yards per carry.

    Defensively, the Mustangs delivered the knockout punch late in the third quarter when Sean Cervantes returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown, stretching the lead to 41-20. Cervantes finished with two picks and nine tackles, while Izaiah Reid anchored the defense with 11 stops, including a sack.

    Despite outgaining Los Medanos in total offense (468 to 459), Coalinga was undone by three costly interceptions and a stifling Mustang defense in key moments. Coalinga quarterback Justyn Delzeit threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns but was picked off three times.

    With the win, Los Medanos improves to 2-0 on the season, while Coalinga falls to 0-2.

  • Mustangs Power Past Merced

    Merced, CA - August 30, 2025

    Los Medanos College delivered an explosive offensive performance on the road in Merced, defeating the Blue Devils 52-16.

    Quarterback Aidan Crawford set the tone early, connecting with Ryan McKendry for touchdown passes of 19 and 38 yards in the first quarter. McKendry finished the day with a career outing, recording 9 receptions for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Mustangs added a short run by Jordan Barbadillo to take an 18-0 lead before Merced got on the board with a 41-yard field goal.

    Los Medanos kept the pressure on in the second quarter. Crawford threw a pair of touchdown strikes to Daemon Duran and McKendry, then Barbadillo punched in his second rushing score to push the lead to 38-3. Merced answered late in the half with a 23-yard touchdown pass, but the Mustangs went into the locker room firmly in control, 38-9.

    The Mustangs extended their advantage in the third quarter when Crawford connected with Larenzo Mayfield and Alex De for touchdowns, capping a six-touchdown day for the Mustang passing attack. Crawford finished an efficient 20-for-24 with 338 yards and 6 TDs, while backup Myles Hunt added 73 yards through the air.

    Defensively, Los Medanos forced three fumbles and tallied four sacks, highlighted by Sean Cervantes’ 7 tackles and Izaiah Reid’s 2 pass breakups. The Mustangs held Merced to just 90 passing yards and forced four turnovers overall.

    Los Medanos piled up 528 yards of total offense compared to Merced’s 293, dominating time of possession (34:12 to 25:48) and controlling the game from start to finish.

    With the victory, the Mustangs showcased a balanced attack and depth across the roster as they look to continue their strong season.

    Final Score: Los Medanos 52, Merced 16

  • Mustangs Take Down Delta

    Pittsburg, CA – September 16, 2025
    The Los Medanos College women’s soccer team secured a dramatic 3–2 victory over San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday afternoon, using late heroics to stay unbeaten at home.

    San Joaquin Delta struck first just eight minutes into the match, but the Mustangs quickly responded. In the 17th minute, Kelsey Imrisek-Kawalkowski found the back of the net off a feed from Tatiana Diaz to level the score at 1–1. Less than 10 minutes later, LMC pulled ahead when Melanie Dominguez converted off an assist from Imrisek-Kawalkowski to make it 2–1 at the break.

    Delta fought back in the 61st minute, equalizing to set up a tense finish. With the game hanging in the balance, the Mustangs delivered. In the 80th minute, Dominguez set up Imrisek-Kawalkowski for her second goal of the day, sealing the 3–2 win for Los Medanos.

    The Mustangs were anchored in goal by Marina Bond, who recorded nine saves and turned away multiple late chances to preserve the victory.

    Imrisek-Kawalkowski finished with two goals and an assist, while Dominguez added a goal and assist of her own in the winning effort.

  • Mustangs Lose to Sacramento City

    August 26, 2025 - Sacramento, CA

    The Los Medanos College women’s soccer team opened the 2025 season on the road Tuesday night, battling Sacramento City before ultimately falling 3-1.

    After the Panthers struck first in the 12th minute, the Mustangs responded quickly. In the 21st minute, Elyse Baldwin netted the equalizer off an assist from Melanie Dominguez, tying the match 1-1 and giving LMC momentum.

    Sacramento City regained the lead in the 31st minute and added an insurance goal in the second half, despite a strong defensive effort from the Mustangs. Goalkeeper Marina Bond turned away seven shots on goal while playing all 90 minutes.

    Los Medanos generated nine shots in the match and earned four corner kicks, but could not break through the Panthers’ back line after Baldwin’s tally.

    The Mustangs return to action later this week as they continue non-conference play and look to build on the positives from their opening-night performance.

    Final Score: Sacramento City 3, Los Medanos 1

    Congratulations Women's Soccer!

    On Friday October 25th our Mustangs traveled to Solano College to take on the undefeated Falcons. In a hard fought match, with time running out, the Mustangs put the ball in the back of the net for the only goal of the match. With the 1-0 victory LMC is once again Bay Valley Champions.
