Los Medanos College's Honors Program guarantees its high-achieving members an enhanced academic experience at LMC and offers incredible benefits such as:
Transfer Partnerships with Top Universities
We have 10 university honors partners including UCLA. These partnerships, for example, gave Honors Scholars an 73% acceptance rate in 2024 to UCLA as compared to only 23% for non-honors transfer students!

Stimulating Honors Courses
In Honors Courses you'll be taught by great professors and surrounded by other highly motivated classmates. Honors Students commit to taking at least two honors courses per year, typically one each semester. These courses will challenge you academically and prepare you for transfer to top schools.
Honors Course Enrollment Access
Only Honors Students may enroll in Honors Courses so they're much less likely to fill up before your registration date.
The Honors Center 
Computers, tables, comfy chairs – the Honors Center has everything you need to study and collaborate with your fellow Honors Students. We also offer free printing privileges for program members.
