Reading & Writing (R/W) Faculty Consultations

Reading & Writing (R/W) Faculty Consultations provide personalized support for students at any stage of the reading or writing process. Whether you're trying to understand a reading, identify the main idea, develop a thesis statement, organize your thoughts, or get started on a paper, our consultants are here to help. Through one-on-one guidance students can strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while building confidence as independent learners.

• 30-minute consultations
• Available at both the Pittsburg and Brentwood campuses
• Offered in person and on Zoom
• Open to students from all disciplines and majors

  Please note: For the week of August 31st - September 3rd, Reading & Writing Consultations will be available in person and online on a drop-in basis only. Appointments will not be available during this period.

  Students will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis during the consultant's scheduled hours. To meet with a consultant online, simply click on the consultant's name in the schedule to access their Zoom room.

  Consultations are in-person held at the LMC Pittsburg Campus CAS CO-300 unless otherwise noted.
