Disclaimer

Los Medanos College continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.

In an ongoing effort to continually improve and fix accessibility issues, we also regularly scan www.losmedanos.edu with Siteimprove tools to identify and fix every possible accessibility barrier on our site. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on losmedanos.edu fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

PDF Documents

As an academic institution we have many PDFs on losmedanos.edu. In an effort make the information within them accessible to all we are using service called DocAccess to better enhance the experience. DocAccess is committed to ensuring that documents are accessible to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, they strive to provide the documents in a format that is compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, AA, and commercial screen reading software. Features of this tool are created to allow individuals with vision and other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities.

If you need any special assistance or accommodations: they have provided 30 minutes of complimentary live assistance with aira.io to help you with any needs that arise, including help understanding content on any DocAccess-hosted document, including filling out a form, and more. Clicking on the "Connect Now" in the Disability Assistance section of the application to be connected to a live Aira representative. Ask your Aira visual interpreter to go to docaccess.com/go and reference the document access code provided to you.
