Stair Project: Love Your Journey 2024

Concept:To bring more color to the campus. Why not decorate something that nearly everyone on campus uses, Stairs? Specifically the stairs that lead up to Student Services. Sometimes we need to take things one step at a time, and not everything happens right away. This art piece is a representation of students working together to achieve greatness.

"Love Your JourneyOur journey to pursue a rewarding life is not just locked in the courses we take, the final grades, nor the degrees and certificates we walk away with. It is the journey and perseverance that defines our character of who we are and who we strive to be. We want to  appreciate all of the efforts our students and employees puts forth to build a better community for the future.

The Girl in Red: 2019

Commissioned by Nick Garcia,

Executed by: Eric Sanchez’s 2-Dimensional Design Class 10.

Medium: House paint and vinyl

Concept: Hidden behind the frenzy of the door lies a calm forest scene inspired by the story of Little Red Riding Hood, with a twist.

The mural has a deeper meaning than the story we knew and loved as children. Amidst the tension between the main characters, a demon lies waiting in plain sight, their intentions anything but good. A new take on a timeless classic, the various shades of red and black guide you to a forest clearing. The new element of horror adds to an otherwise generic story. Look again – who is lurking in the dark? Viewer, how should the story end?

Design Team: Lana Nguyen, Ashley Cervantes, Donna Ashley, Ginger Cole
