Campus Clubs

Los Medanos College offers a range of extracurricular activities that provide recreation, entertainment, and other opportunities to get involved with the community and other students.

Inter-Club Council (ICC)
The ICC is the coordinating body for all clubs and organizations on campus. ICC is a voluntary organization which promotes engagement in community college activities, and all LMC clubs are eligible to be represented in ICC.

    Active Minds

    Active Minds is established for the expressed purpose of increasing the Los Medanos College students', facultys', and staffs's awareness of issues surrounding mental health and resources available both on campus and in the surrounding community.

    Art Club

    The purpose of Art Club is to provide students interested in art a creative space to hang out and get art done.

    Black Student Union

    The purpose of the BSU is to provide and promote economic, political, and academic enrichment, and develop unity among the Black students at LMC. The Black Student Union attempts to create awareness about issues relating to Black culture through it's sponsorship and involvement in programs on campus. 

    The objective of the BSU is to develop unity amongst Black students, to communicate the perspectives of the Black community on the LMC campus, and to become the official student voice and representatives on issues concerning Black students.

    Honors Club

    Established to add a social and community service dimension to the Honors Transfer Program at LMC. The Honors  Club works towards enriching the community with intellectual and artistic activities, to provide mentoring and tutoring programs for all LMC students, and to serve the community through outreach programs.

    Hyphae Club

    The Hyphae club was created with the purpose of preserving the Nature Preserve at Los Medanos College. As a club, we care to help the environment, while improving our natural selves.

    Kapwa Club

    The goal of Kapwa Club is to create a close knit community with the Filipino/a/x and Bayanihan Pilipinx's initiative and to engage with fellow Filipinos (or non-Filipinos) as it relates to the culture, heritage, activism, and history.

    LatinX Leadership Network

    The LatinX Leadership Network works to facilitate the access of members to participate in development workshops, professional networking, and organize community events highlighting the LatinX community.

    Los Medanos College Associated Students (L.M.C.A.S.)

    We, the students of Los Medanos College in order to provide an official and representative student organization, to investigate student problems and take appropriate action, to provide the official voice through which student opinion may be expressed, to encourage the development of responsible student participation in the overall policy and decision making process of the College community, to foster an awareness of the student’s role in the academic community, to enhance the quality and scope of education at the College, and to provide means for responsible and effective participation in the organization of student affairs, do ordain and establish this Bylaw for the Associated Students of Los Medanos College.

    Philosophy Club

    The purpose of Philosophy Club is to encourage discourse amongst members in regards to social issues occurring in the world. The purpose is to provide a safe and respectful forum in which members can explore social, economic, and political issues and ideas amongst members and guests. We will observe the theories of philosophers to aid in discussions.
