Pittsburg, Calif. – The LMC Women’s Volleyball team advances to the NorCal Regional Playoffs with a 10-record ranked second in the Bay Valley Conference and an overall 19-12 record.

“Our women’s volleyball team is made up of strong athletes and diligent students whose efforts on and off the court have been impressive all season,” President Pamela Ralston said. “We are excited to see them represent the Mustang family at this week’s NorCal Regional Playoffs. Go Mustangs!”

The team goes up against Consumnes River College at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18.

“I am incredibly proud of LMC Women’s Volleyball,” LMC Athletic Director Marty Storti said. “These student-athletes set a high bar for achievement and performance in their sport and their academics. Congratulations!”

A few standout players emerged throughout the season, including sophomore outside hitter Noelle Mixon, who is this year’s Bay Valley Conference Most Valuable Player.

First-year outside setter Paige Slous was named Setter of the Year.

Slous was also one of two sophomores, including outside hitter Grace Geisler, to make the First Team All Conference list, the highest recognition for individual athletic achievement for student athletes. Sophomore Libero Makayla Mak earned Second Team All Conference.

Student-athlete awards are decided by a vote of opposing Bay Valley Conference coaches.
