Pittsburg, Calif. – Los Medanos College (LMC) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards. The awards recognize civil rights and social justice champions in the community. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, in the Student Union Conference Center of the Pittsburg Campus, 2700 E. Leland Road.
This community event celebrates the life of civil rights and social justice leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as part of LMC’s yearlong acknowledgement of Black history (BHM 365). Visit the LMC event website for more information about the honorees and program.
