Pittsburg, Calif. -- Los Medanos College Women’s Soccer team is poised for post-season play as the 2023 Bay Valley Conference Champions, undefeated in conference and with solid 14-5-2 overall record.

This is the fifth consecutive year they take the top spot in the Bay Valley Conference. They are now set to play in the NorCal Regional Playoffs.

The Lady Mustangs will face Modesto Junior College Pirates. Fans can tune in to the livestream at 2 p.m. on NorCal Sports TV.

The Lady Mustangs wrapped up conference play with a net full of Bay Valley Conference acknowledgements and awards.

The Bay Valley Conference recognized Briana Garcia as Forward of the Year, Ari Chavez as Midfielder of the Year, and Liv Kamm as Defender of the Year.

Head Coach Zach Sullivan earned the title of Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year for the fifth consecutive time.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our women’s soccer program and student-athletes,” Athletic Director Marty Storti said. “Consistent athletic success is challenging and is a testament to our Head Women’s Soccer Coach Zach Sullivan, who once again earned recognition as Coach of the Year. The individual accolades earned by so many players is worth celebrating. Their success classroom and on the field reflects the priorities of the department and the definition of a Mustang.”

The team’s stellar performance is further evident with five players making the First-Team All-Conference list, the highest recognition of individual athletic achievement for student athletes.

The list includes Nathalie Farias, Zuleyka Berumen, and Liliana Bailey.
