The LMC Gymnasium is one of the original structures from when the College opened
in 1974. The gym was used as the venue for graduation until the ceremony became too
large and was moved to the stadium. The gym's original rubber floor was eventually
replaced with a more modern wood floor in the mid 1990's, however, the gym has seen
little change since it was built in 1974. In many ways it was a time capsule for 1974.

The renovation project began with the creation of a new athletics logo, which is
now featured on center court and throughout the athletics branding initiative. The
gym renovation project included the following: removal of the theater style curtains
and apparatus used for graduation; new paint throughout, new ADA compliant bleachers,
new wireless scoreboards, new LED ceiling lighting, new LED lights and shot clocks
on the main basketball standards, a new retractable center court divider curtain,
new wall graphics and acoustical treatments, a complete sanding and restriping of
the gym floor for volleyball and basketball, new exterior doors throughout, and a
                     new sound system.
