Start with College Central Network (CCN) for Los Medanos! Create an account by clicking on Students or Alumni (depending on your status) to start searching for on-campus and off-campus jobs.

Use College Central Network (CCN): Click on Employers to create and account and once the registration is complete, post your job. You can direct students to submit their resume through the system or to submit materials directly to you, or fill out a supplemental application on a website. TIPS: If you are only looking for Federal Work Study Students, please note that in the description and in job type selection. For on-campus positions, please select "on-campus" in the location box when creating your posting. This makes it faster for students to find your positions.

2. Select (or Rehire) Your Student
When you have chosen who you would like to hire download this fillable form, Student Assistant Referral Card and the supervisor should fill in the top portion (confirm PID# with Linda Kohler in the Business Office, to make sure it is attached to the correct GL you want to use). If you print out the form and write in the information, please fill in the top and bottom portions. Give the completed form to the student to bring with them to their employment processing appointment.
If you want to hire (or rehire) a Federal Work Study Student:
If the student is eligible, she will send you information on how much the student was awarded and a FWS contract that you fill in, print out and then give to student to complete and bring to the Employment Paperwork Processing appointment along with the FWS Student Referral Card (again, confirm PID# with Linda Kohler in the Business Office)
3. Schedule Student Employment Paperwork Processing Appointment. We can’t do drop-ins, sorry!
Remind the student they must bring the appropriate hiring referral card , FWS contract (if necessary), and two forms of identification (usually SS card/birth certificate and Photo ID or if they have US Passport, that works too.) Please provide the students with this document for a full list of eligible documents for identification and employment verification. If they do not bring the appropriate information to their employment processing appointment there may be a delay in the start of their employment.
**Hiring a group of students? Contact Jan Boulingui, Interim Employment Development Specialist, xt.3-7515 to coordinate a date/time to process the entire group in one sitting (usually about 30 minutes).
4. Student can begin work ONLY after they have processed their paperwork.
