Construction was completed on LMC’s new Brentwood Center in September 2020.  This permanent 55,000-square-foot facility, located at 1351 Pioneer Square in the City of Brentwood, is built on a 17.5-acre parcel purchased by the Contra Costa Community College District in 2011.  It is approximately 2.5 times larger than the previous leased site at 101A Sand Creek Road.

The new, one-story structure features: 15 instructional classrooms; 4 science labs; student support services; a computer lab; library resources; tutorial labs; bookstore and food services; a “Student Commons” area, providing space for gathering/learning outside the classroom; an interior courtyard; faculty and staff offices; and 738 parking stalls.  The new Brentwood Center is designed to accommodate a headcount of up to 5,000 students in the easternmost part of LMC’s service area in Contra Costa County.

To protect our students, employees, and community and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Los Medanos College is delivering most classes and services remotely during the ongoing public health emergency.  Once it is safe to do so, the new Brentwood Center will open and the Pittsburg Campus will re-open for in-person instruction and support services.  Please visit the LMC website for class schedules and hours of operation.
