Ulloa Press Release

Los Medanos College Women’s Volleyball player, Jessica Ulloa, was named to the First Team All Bay Valley Conference for the 2010 season.  Ulloa led the Lady Mustangs in kills per game and overall hitting percentage.  She also topped the Bay Valley Conference in kills per game 8 of the 9 weeks, ending the season with an average 3.31 kills per game.  The Lady Mustangs will look to her for leadership as we prepare for the 2011-12 season.  Los Medanos College Women’s Volleyball ended the season with a Bay Valley Conference record of 6-10.

Los Medanos College Announces New Head Women’s Volleyball Coach – Elissa Hemauer

Elissa Hemauer comes to Los Medanos College as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach from neighboring Antioch High School. She has coached and taught at Antioch High the past five years. During her coaching stint at Antioch, she coached all levels including an NCS berth with the team in 2007.

Coach Hemauer attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where she received her Physical Education teaching degree and was a four-year member of the women’s volleyball team. She helped her team reach the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championships. During that year, she received the honor of an All-American Volleyball Player.

Coach Hemauer looks forward to developing a successful program at Los Medanos College both on the court and in the classroom.
