Vocational Nursing is an integral and essential part of all nursing. The Vocational
Nursing program is a self-contained course of nursing education which draws identifiable
concepts from nursing and blends them into such an integrated whole of learning
experiences to produce an effective practitioner within the defined scope of
practice.
The vocational nurse is prepared to assume responsibility under the direction
of a registered nurse or physician when giving nursing care in simple situations
and assisting with nursing care in more complex nursing situations.
