Planetarium School Shows

This announcement is for all schools in Contra Costa County.

The Los Medanos College planetarium has a show for school groups (all grades from K to 12). The show is called “The Sky Tonight”. It is a 50-minute live presentation in the campus planetarium theater which seats 60. Shows are by reservation only and are given at 11:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on Mondays and Fridays except on holidays. The cost is $2.00 person (all ages) and is payable at the door by cash or check. (If check, then make out to L.M.C.) Receipts will be given. For show reservations phone: (925) 439-2181 ext. 800. A recording will give you details and a person will phone you back and tell you times and dates available. Reservations are on a first-come basis. Day parking is $2.00 per vehicle. The program is adapted to grade level and features current sky events, stories of the constellations, views of the Moon and planets and other telescopic objects by projection systems.
