News & Events Transfer Day & College Night LMC's 2009 Transfer Day and College Night will be held on October 14th. These two events offer LMC students, high school students, parents, academic advisors, and the community an opportunity to meet and talk to representatives from 4-year colleges, universities, private colleges, vocational schools and out-of-state institutions. In past years, over 50 colleges and universities have been represented. Transfer Day focuses specifically on LMC students interested in transferring after completing their coursework here. College Night is geared more toward high school students and their parents. All the representatives present at Transfer Day will be there, along with LMC staff and counselors who will be available to provide information and answer questions about community college enrollment, programs, financial aid & other services. Transfer Day Transfer Day is an opportunity for college students to meet with representatives of transfer institutions and learn more about the colleges and universities they might consider for the next step in their educational process. Although this event focuses primarily on current community college students, anyone in the community is welcome to attend. If you are unsure about where you want to transfer to, even if you are undecided about your major, this is a wonderful opportunity to see what college has to offer. If you have already decided on a transfer institution, this is the perfect time for you to learn all the "ins and outs" of the transfer process, including admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid, housing and more.
