Recording arts Program


Careers in Recording Arts

The Recording Arts program leads to an AA degree or certificate of achievement. It is geared for both the student seeking to enter music technology or related industry fields, as well as the professional wishing to upgrade skills by training with state-of-the-art equipment in a professional environment. All of the instructors are currently working in the Audio Field and have received numerous professional honors including over 30 Grammy Nominations, and 12 Grammy Awards.


Recording Arts Salary Averages in California:

Audio/Video Technician: $13.18 - $41.25/hour

Sound Technician: $13.83 - $62.05/hour

Producer: $21.40 - $90.00/hour

AA Degree and Certificate of Achievement

The Certificate of Achievement requires the completion of 28 units of coursework listed above plus an optional summer course for students that would like additional training.


The Associate Degree requires the completion of 28 units of coursework listed above,plus an optional summer course, plus completion of LMC's general education and additional classes to total 60 units.
