ADJUS-005: Basic Law Enforcement Academy – Intensive Format
The Basic Law Enforcement Academy is designed for persons seeking full-time employment
in law enforcement and for those who have been recently hired by a local law enforcement
agency. It is presented in the intensive full-time format consisting of 1,020 hours
of instruction delivered over 26 weeks. Upon successful completion the student will
receive a Certificate of Completion and is eligible for employment as a peace officer
in most California jurisdictions.
