April 12th 4pm-6pm in L109: I Love Africa Celebration!

 

 

The Umoja Scholars Program will be hosting an African Celebration. This celebration will include history presentations on East, West, South, Central and North Africa; performances of various cultural dances and songs; and African food prefaced by a brief presentation on the origins of the food.This event will take place in the Library Community Room (L109) from 4pm-6pm on Friday, April 12th and is open to all LMC students, staff and faculty.

March 30th 1pm-4pm in L109: Ladder to Success Career Mentor Luncheon


The Umoja Scholars Program will be hosting its annual Ladder to Success Career Mentor Luncheon on Saturday, March 30th from 1pm-4pm. This luncheon is designed to pair eligible Umoja Scholars with a professional in the career field of his or her interest. It's an excellent opportunity for both students and mentors.

Health and Wellness in the African American Community: Mind, Body & Soul Workshop - November 21st, 12pm-2pm in L109.

 

The Umoja Scholars Program will be hosting a workshop that addresses mental, physical and spiritual health in the African American community. This event will take place in the Library Community Room (L109) from 12pm-2pm on Wednesday, November 21st and is open to all LMC students, staff and faculty.
