Health Fair (Sponsored by Kaiser Permanente)

Each year, the Office of Student Life provides a fun & informative health fair sponsored by Kaiser Permanente for all students and staff!  Booths and activities often include things such as free health screenings including: cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and BMI, free chair massages, optical sales, nutrition - healthy eating options, women's health, sexual health - free condoms, and a rock climbing wall.  For more information on the next Health Fair visit Student Life Activities & Events.

Blood Drives

Bike 2 Work Day

Every May, the Office of Student Life partners with the East Bay Bicycle Coalition to encourage students, faculty, and staff to bike to work (and school) by sponsoring an Energizer Station on campus for the annual Bike 2 Work Day event.  Members of the LMC Community who bike to campus on this day will receive snacks and giveaways at the Energizer Station on the Quad.  Past giveaways have included items such as tote bags, water bottles, stickers, bike repair tools, and coupons.  To find out the specific date of this year’s event visit Student Life Activities & Events or to learn more about Bike 2 Work Day across the Bay Area visit http://www.ebbc.org/.

Student Health Insurance Information

The American Association of Community Colleges has worked with Student Insurance to provide a Domestic Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan to community college students.  For more information on plans, coverage, and costs you can pick up an information packet in the Office of Student Life (Room 800A) or visit www.StudentInsuranceUSA.com.
