The Recording Arts Program offers a four semester sequence leading to an AA degree or certificate of completion.  It is geared for both the student seeking to enter music technology or related industry fields, as well as the professional wishing to upgrade skills by training with state-of-the-art equipment in a professional environment.  All of the instructors are currently working in the Audio Field and have received numerous professional honors including over 30 Grammy Nominations, and 12 Grammy Awards.

Los Medanos College offers the finest Recording Arts Equipment, including:  two fully equipped 24 track recording studios featuring a fully automated Otari series 54 console and Digital Multi-Track MIDI and 24 Track Analog Capability.

An Associate in Arts degree may be earned by completion of the major requirements plus requirements defined in the Associate Degree Requirements section of the Los Medanos College Catalog.
