The Scholarship Office strongly encourages students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) or California DREAM Act Application each year to determine your eligibility for federal and/or state grants. The following list of scholarships are provided as resources to aid students in finding additional financial assistance to fund college expenses. Please note, unless otherwise indicated, LMC does not determine the recipients of any scholarship(s) and advises students to contact each organization directly with any questions. Scholarship applications from reputable sources are free. If you are being asked to pay money and/or provide information you do not feel comfortable with, it is highly recommended that you do not apply and verify the authenticity of the organization.

Many organizations offer private scholarship to students. Typically these organizations contact the college and request their scholarship information be shared with students. Many scholarships are not regulated and students should be aware of potential red flags: you should never have to pay to apply for a scholarship, you should never be required to provide personal information (ie: social security number, credit card information, bank information, etc) when applying, legitimate scholarships cannot guarantee you will win, there should always be some type of eligibility requirement (s) and deadline dates, and you should not be pressured to apply for a scholarship. If you question the legitimacy of the scholarship, don't apply! LMC does not determine recipients of scholarships. Please contact organizations directly with any questions.
