The Los Medanos College Scholarship Office
A scholarship is considered a gift of money to assist a student in financing their higher education. Scholarships are provided to students by the generosity of the LMC Foundation, corporations, and individual donors. Generally, scholarships may be awarded based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, community involvement, athletic talents, field of study, or ethnicity. The amount available for individual students and scholarships may vary.
The LMC Scholarship Office provides services to assist students fund their educational journey, including scholarship listings, workshops, and application review. The LMC Scholarship Office is located in Room PS2-23. If you have been awarded a scholarship and need information on how to access your funds, please call (925) 473-7520 to schedule an appointment.

Wednesday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
Friday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Monday & Wednesday: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Please direct all general scholarship questions to the Financial Aid Office, (925) 473-7525. For assistance with using your scholarship to pay for registration fees, or reimbursement of Fall 2014 expenses, please contact the LMC Foundation Office, 8:30am-1:30pm Monday-Thursday, December 1st - December 18th.
Please note that your registration fees are not paid automatically. You must visit, call, or contact the Scholarship Office to initiate use of your scholarship funds for your educational expenses.
IMPORTANT: Scholarship awards are intended for use during the academic year for which they were awarded. If you were awarded an LMC Scholarship and you do not use that award during the current academic year (Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters) your award(s) is/are subject to forfeit.
