1. Facilities:

Los Medanos College has just completed a field and stadium renovation with a state-of-the-art synthetic grass field and all-weather track. Also, new Science, Math, and Library buildings! All to help student-athletes matriculate to four-year universities/colleges.

2. Transfer Rate:

We are proud of the fact when our student-athletes have followed their individual matriculation plans, 90% successfully transfer to four-year universities/colleges.

3. Coaching Staff:

The coaches at LMC have coached and/or played at both Division I and II levels. Many of our coaches started their respective careers at the Junior College level and, as a result, know what it takes to matriculate to the four-year level.

4. Individual Academic Advisor:

Shirley Baskin, the former LMC Athletic Director, is our Academic Advisor. She has over 25 years as an administrator at LMC and has helped numerous student-athletes move on to the four-year level.

5. Individual Financial Aid Advisor:

Students enrolled at LMC can make individual appointments with Financial Aid staff to complete the financial aid process.

6. Study Table:

The Study Table is designed to not only offer extra tutoring outside of the classroom, but to also teach the student-athlete time management strategies. Study Table allows student-athletes the opportunity to stay on track in college to matriculate to four-year universities/colleges.

7. College Administration:

Our student body, faculty and administration show their support at both home and away games. Los Medanos faculty members also take a keen interest in the success of our student-athletes through regular communication with our coaching staff, and our former President was once part of the LMC Football coaching staff!

8. Playing for the MUSTANGS:

Playing for the Mustangs is FUN! The coaches, faculty, staff, and players work hard to make all student-athletes' time at LMC a fun and enjoyable experience.

9. The Guarantee:

Each student-athlete is guaranteed the opportunity to compete for playing time from the first day they step on the field as a registered member of the LMC Mustang football team.

10. Post-Season Play:

The LMC Mustangs have played in 13 Bowl Games since 1990! Los Medanos College football is dedicated to continually playing tough, competitive football.
