Transfer Assistance Programs

  • UC Berkeley

    UC Berkeley Transfer Alliance Project

    TAP provides transfer information, education planning, advising, academic enrichment, peer mentoring, major assistance, campus life immersion, and application assistance.

    Experience Berkeley

    Experience Berkeley is a program that aims to increase and retain Black, Latino, and Native American transfer students at UC Berkeley. We provide students with UC application resources and tools necessary to apply and transfer to UC Berkeley.

    Underground Scholars Initiative

    Underground Scholars Initiative aims to connect formerly incarcerated UC Berkeley students with the resources and information that will help to increase those students' prospects of success.

    Starting Point Mentorship Program

    The Starting Point Mentorship Program pairs eligible community college students with current UC Berkeley student mentors that offer guidance, motivation and access to admissions, campus, and community resources.

  • CSU East Bay

    Sankofa Scholars

    Sankofa supports its students and addresses the challenges they face as they enter CSUEB. Sankofa enables students to integrate their home identities with their school identity by creating a sense of community within the cohort. Sankofa is open to all students. It provides a supportive learning environment that focuses on African American and multicultural content.


    Students in GANAS will participate in a one-year cohort experience paired with intensive counseling and mentoring. Students will complete their upper division GE requirements (B6, D4, C4 and CGW)* by taking three successive courses during their first year at Cal State East Bay.  Latino/a faculty who are committed to student success will teach GANAS courses.

    Transfer Preparation Program

    The UC Santa Cruz Transfer Preparation Program (TPP) supports prospective transfer students from California community colleges and assists them in enrolling at the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as other campuses.

  • UCLA

    UCLA Transfer Alliance Program

    The UCLA Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) gives you the opportunity to enhance your ability to transfer to UCLA at the junior level from a California community college. Students are certified after completing the honors/scholars program at their community college and given priority consideration for admission to UCLA College of Letters and Science
