Transfer Academy

Your Fast-Track to Transfer!


First Year Students


Attendance - Citizenship - Academic Success (GPA)


Students will take responsibility for their own learning and maintain excellent citizenship and attendance in all their classes. They will be an active learner, be prepared for all classes with all assigned work completed, take notes, and be an active participant in all activities. All students will maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to remain in good standing with the Transfer Academy.



Counseling Requirement (2014-15)


Students will meet with the Transfer Counselor at least 2 times per semester by the following deadlines to set goals and create an educational plan. They also agree to meet with the Transfer Academy Counselor (David Reyes) before making changes to their schedule or dropping any classes. Deadlines to complete counseling appointments in 2014-15 are:


  Fall 2014 Spring 2015
First Appointment: September 25th February 20th
Second Appointment: November 7th April 10th

Transfer Academy Courses for First Year Students (2014-15)


Students must take English and Math each semester, until they have completed their transfer-level requirements in these areas. Also, students must take ACS-010 during their first semester in the program. Students can only enroll in sections that they have been specifically approved for.
