Transfer Academy

Your Fast-Track to Transfer!

 

First Year Students

 

Attendance - Citizenship - Academic Success (GPA)

 

Students will take responsibility for their own learning and maintain excellent citizenship and attendance in all their classes. They will be an active learner, be prepared for all classes with all assigned work completed, take notes, and be an active participant in all activities. All students will maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to remain in good standing with the Transfer Academy.

 

 

Counseling Requirement (2013-14)

 

Students will meet with the Transfer Counselor at least 2 times per semester by the following deadlines to set goals and create an educational plan. They also agree to meet with the Transfer Academy Counselor (Frances Moy) before making changes to their schedule or dropping any classes. Deadlines to complete counseling appointments in 2013-14 are:

 

  Fall 2013 Spring 2014
First Appointment: September 26th February 21st
Second Appointment: November 8th April 4th

 

 

Required Activities (2013-14)

 

All of the following are mandatory activities for first year students in the Transfer Academy:

Students must take English and Math each semester, until they have completed their transfer-level requirements in these areas. Also, students must take ACS-010 during their first semester in the program. Students can only enroll in sections that they have been specifically approved for.
