Transfer Admission Agreements & Guarantees:




Campuses plan to post decisions/information according to the following schedule:


November 1 - UC Santa Barbara

November 5 - UC Irvine

November 7 - UC San Diego

November 8 - UC Riverside

November 15 - UC Merced

November 14 - UC Santa Cruz

November 15 - UC Davis



TAG's for the UC System will open in September 1 and close September 30, 2013. If you would like to apply for a TAG/TAA with a Private school please contact the Transfer Programs & Services as their deadlines varry.



Please note the below information is for Fall 2013 TAG's and TAA's.


A Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) or Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) is a written contract between you, Los Medanos College, and a specific participating four-year college or university. This contract states that if you meet the requirements, you will be admitted to that four-year college or university. The TAA or TAG helps you understand:


  1. The courses you must complete before transferring
  2. The minimum GPA you must earn
  3. The number of units required to transfer
  4. The specific requirements for selective majors


A completed TAG or TAA, signed by you, your counselor and a university representative, guarantees your admittance to the university in your chosen major for the term you specify, provided you follow and complete all of the terms of the agreement.

Currently, seven UC campuses offer guaranteed admission to California Community College students who meet specific requirements. By participating in a TAG or TAA program, you become eligible to receive early review of your academic record, early admission notification, and specific guidance on major preparation and general education coursework. What Universities Offer a TAG or TAA with LMC?
UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, National University, Golden Gate University, Saint Mary’s College, University of the Pacific, Fisk University and Clark Atlanta University.


How Do I Apply for a TAG or TAA?
Stop by the Transfer Programs & Services for more information or go to the individual school website. To apply for the actual TAG, this is online on the repsective school's website. If you have questions while filling out the TAG applicaiton, make an appointment to see a counselor in the Counseling Office, room CC3-414 or call (925) 473-7444.


Honors Transfer Partners
The following institutions offer transfer partnerships to Honors Scholars only: CSU East Bay, Chapman University, Mills College, Pitzer College, Saint Mary's College, San Diego State, San Francisco State, UC Irvine, UCLA, Whitman College.


Concurrent Enrollment and Cross Registration

Other transfer programs include concurrent enrollment with UC Berkeley(Fall 2013 applications are now available) and cross registration with CSU- East Bay. Additionally, we are happy to announce that we have a concurrent enrollment program with Mills College.
