7 Reasons Why You Should Be A Mustang
 Transfer Rate: We are proud of the fact that when our student-athletes' have followed their individual matriculation plans, 90% succesfully transfer to four year universities/colleges.- Coaching Staff: The coaches at LMC have coached and/or played at both Division I and II. Five of the coaches started their respective playing careers as Mustangs and, as a result, know what it takes to matriculate to the four-year level.
- Individual Academic Advisor: Shirley Baskin, the former LMC Athletic Director, is our Academic Advisor. She has over 25 years as an administrator at LMC and has helped numerous student-athletes move-on to the four-year level.
- Individual Financial Aid Advisor: Levon Edwards is our Administrative Assistant/Financial Aid Advisor. He has over 6 years of experience at LMC and has helped numerous student-athletes move-on to the four-year level.
- Study Table: The Study Table is designed to not only offer extra tutoring outside of the classroom, but to also teach the student-athlete time-management strategies, retain the student-athlete in college and to matriculate student-athletes to four year universities/colleges.
- College and Administration:
Our student body, faculty and administration show their support at both home and away games. Los Medanos faculty members also take a keen interest in the success of our student-athletes through regular communication with our coaching staff, and our President was once part of the LMC Football coaching staff!
- Post-Season Play: The LMC Mustangs have played in 11 bowl games since 1990; the most recent one being this past season!
