AUTOMOTIVE

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program Apply by: 6/15/17 $Up to $2500

Receive up to $2,500 to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Have completed high school (or earned a GED)
  • Will be enrolled in eligible program in Fall 2017
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
  • Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
  • Demonstrated perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Be under the age of 30
  • Be a United States citizen

Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.  All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.

MATH AND SCIENCE

Math And Science Teacher (MAST) Program 06/15/2017 Up to $3000

The CSU East Bay Math And Science Teacher (MAST) Program is designed to provide scholars opportunities to explore science and mathematics teaching at the K-12 levels. This program is open to current STEM majors. Scholars will join a community of students interested in STEM education. The scholars will engage in teacher education coursework, field experience directly in the K-12 classrooms, and science and math education workshops at CSUEB and in the greater Bay Area. This program will enable students to obtain up to 45 hours of classroom experience which is required for entrance into the teaching credential program.

California Nurses Association - Martha Horton Memorial Scholarship Apply by: 08/01/17 $500

The Martha Horton Scholarship was established in 2002 to encourage ethnic and socio-economic diversity in nursing. The scholarship is intended to support those accepted for admission to a 2 year accredited Associate Degree Nursing Program and planning to complete the degree program within two years. Applicants must Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Humboldt, Mendocino, Contra Costa, or Solano County.

 

GUIDELINES FOR ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for the Martha Horton Scholarship Award, you must be:
 Accepted for admission to an accredited Associate Degree Nursing program for academic year 2017/18; AND planning to complete the degree program within two (2) years, and
 Live in Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Humbolt, Mendocino, Contra Costa, or Solano County.
