Careers in Networking & Security

The Associate of Science degree and certificate curriculum in Networking and Security will prepare students for
entry-level positions and professional advancement in public, private, and governmental agencies. Employment opportunities consist of positions such as Security Specialist and Network Administrator.


Networking & Security Salary Averages in California:

Network Administrator: $24.28 - 57.70/hour

Information Security Analysist: $23.02 - $68.67/hour

Note: Some positions require a BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.

AS Degree or Certificate of Achievement

The Certificate of Achievement (Basic) requires completion of 16 units of coursework listed above.
The Certificate of Achievement (Advanced) requires all courses listed in the Basic Certificate, plus an
additional 15-16 units shown above.


The Associate of Science Degree requires completion of 60 units of coursework that includes the required courses listed above and completion of all LMC general Education and Graduation requirements.
