D2L Migration Timeline

Deadline Action


FINAL: May 31, 2014

If you have a course that has not been taught since before Spring 2013, a special request must be made to pull this course from the Blackboard archive. Do this immediately at D2L Request Submission Website.


ASAP for Spring & Summer 2013 courses.

In order to see your converted Blackboard courses in their D2L account, you must fill out this online form: D2L Request Submission Website.


November 1, 2013 All content from Fall 2013 Blackboard classrooms will be migrated into D2L converted courses sites beginning November 1st. Any content added to Fall 2013 Blackboard courses after they are migrated will need to be added to D2L by the instructor.

Instructors must request D2L developmental course site(s) by emailing LMC Help Desk if they want one.


As soon as you get your content migrated and your Dev. Course.

Instructors edit/update course content in their D2L developmental course sites and learn to utilize D2L features.



December 2, 2013

District creates live D2L empty course shell for ALL sections in the Spring 2014 schedule. Course will have the official naming structure.


Dec. 2 -Jan. 13

Instructors copy content from either their converted course site or their developmental course site(s)into their live course site.


December 30, 2013 District Office upgrades Desire2Learn to 10.2. D2L will be unavailable.
January 13, 2014 Spring Classes Start. Enrolled students will automatically have access. Enrollments will be updated nightly.
