Step
1. Complete and
submit an application
If
you have not submitted an application for admission to LMC, please
do so as soon as possible. Apply
online or by mail
Step
2. Assess in English
and Math
Assessment means finding out what your strengths and weaknesses
are in certain basic college skills. Your assessment scores will
assist you and the counselor you meet with at New Student Orientation
to determine which courses are appropriate for you.Testing is strongly
recommended if you have never taken a college English or math class
before.
The
Assessment Center, located
in room CC1-121, is open on a drop-in basis during the hours indicated
on the testing schedule.
Step 3. Attend
New Student Orientation and select your classes
Recommended for students new to LMC, New Student Orientation will
provide you with important information about college programs, services,
policies, procedures, and requirements. A counselor will be present
to help you select first-semester classes.
Sign up for New Student
Orientation.
Step 4.
Register for classes and pay fees
When the Admissions Office receives your application, you will be
given a registration appointment. If you applied online, by fax,
or by mail, the appointment time will be mailed to you. You may
register for classes online
or through the telephone registration
system on or after your appointment time. Fees must be paid
within 10 business days by Visa or MasterCard, or by check.
You
may select your classes independently, with the assistance of a
counselor, or by attending Orientation.
If
you are a transfer student (from another college to LMC), you should
request that your official transcript(s) to be mailed to LMCs
Admissions & Records Office for evaluation. The transcripts
will be used to verify course prerequisites and evaluated to determine
which classes you still need to acheive your educational goals.
Assessment scores from another college should be forwarded to LMCs
Assessment Center.
