A True Network Awaits You The IT department has nearly completed the XP
migration project. For the majority of the computer users on campus, this
means ü
Expanded
email quota—your email box is now three times bigger than your original
email box ü
Easily-accessible
web mail at http://mail.losmedanos.edu:
ü
Access
to the new, more robust file server on campus including the J drive for your
department and the P drive for everybody at LMC ü
Ability
to add network printers via a searchable directory on your own ü
Ability
to easily access your files from any administrative computer on campus This newly improved computing environment should
make your computing experience more efficient, more secure and more effective.
If you should have any questions about this environment, please contact the
IT department at 03-LMC Tech Support@LMC Outlook Web Access (OWA) Because of the domain change (even though some of
you are still in the 4cd domain), here are the updated instructions for
accessing Web Outlook: Address:
mail.losmedanos.edu Username: your
lmc username Password:
your lmc password Domain:
losmedanos (4cd-domain for those of you who have not
been informed by IT that you have been switched to the
losmedanos domain) For those of you using new versions of Microsoft
OS, you may get only two lines: one for username and the other for password.
In this case, please insert losmedanos\ in front of your username. Please
call extension 3767 promptly if you experience difficulties with your
username or password. By now you should be able to also change your password
in OWA; essentially have available to you all the necessary Outlook functions
in OWA. Training workshops on Outlook and the new LMC computing environment
will be coming soon. Please look for announcements from Staff Development.
