The Bay Honors Consortium invites community college honors faculty to the beautiful Mills College Lokey Graduate School of Business on October 1, 2011 from 9AM to 3:30PM. This first-ever Honors Faculty Roundtable has four goals:
1. To reinvigorate honors faculty with the wonderful opportunities inherent in educating highly motivated students;
2. To give honors faculty specific toos and ideas they can use in their next honors course, contract, colloquia or student interaction;
3. To promote collegial dialogue among honors faculty in similar disciplines from a wide range of colleges; and
4. To help honors faculty incorporate research into their honors curriculum and gain insider tips into how to assist their students with the annual Honors Research Symposium.
The Roundtable is located in the Mills College Graduate School of Business (GSB) which is at the intersection of Richards Road and Kapiolani Road. (Click here for a Campus Map.)
When you enter Mills through the main entrance on MacArthur Boulevard you are on Richards Road. Please inform the guard at the entrance gate that you are there for the Honors Roundtable at the GSB.
Parking is free and plentiful on Saturdays. You may park in all the available spaces on Richards Road, or in the parking lot behind the GSB offKapiolani Road. Disabled parking spaces are available in the lot behind GSB and there is a ramp up to the building. Overflow parking is available in the parking lot behind the Courtyard Townhouses (Building 20 on the map) which is a sharp right immediately after passing through the security checkpoint.
