Los Medanos College Math Lab

The math labs are your place on campus to:

• Fulfill the mandatory math lab requirement for your math class at any of our facilities (Pittsburg Math students log your time in & out MA 107 log-in computer & Brentwood math students by paper).
• Obtain specialized tutoring designed to help students understand concepts in math.
• Work on math with your friends in the labs, study quietly or small study rooms.
• Get resources such as handouts, calculators, reference books, and other math tools.
• Obtain study skill strategies and alternate strategies used for problem solving.

• Take challenge exams and mastery quizzes.

Pittsburg Lab

The math tutoring lab is staffed by professors, tutors, and math lab coordinators. The tutoring lab offers a quiet and noisy study area along with 2 small rooms for study groups. We have computers in both the noisy and quiet study areas with software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Computer Aided Software (MyMathLab, Carnegie, et al.) used in the most current math courses. This is a free service to Los Medanos students and the community.

Testing Center (MA 107)

* * * We are NOT affiliated with the Math Assessment Testing

The testing room is a quiet, proctored room where students can take PSI tests, challenge exams (by appointment only - see a coordinator), and mastery quizzes for classes like Math 12 and 25. Students should bring photo ID's.

Fall & Spring

Wednesday-Thursday	10 am - 8 pm
Friday	10 am - 3 pm
Saturday	1 pm - 3 pm

Computer Math Lab (MA 202)

* * * This lab is open ONLY during the time posted as "Open Lab." Please do NOT disturb ongoing classes.

In addition to the computer in the Tutoring Lab, the Computer Math Lab is a room where students can work on lab and/or homework assignments using software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Computer Aided Software (MyMathLab, Carnegie, et al.) used in the most current math courses. It is staffed by professors, tutors, and math lab coordinators.
