Scholarships
The Marie Folino Performing Arts scholarship is given every year to an LMC Drama student who has shown exceptional ability in performing or technical abilities.The scholarship is funded by Joanna Perry-Folino in honor of her mother, a gifted pianist.
The Mathew Shepard Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of the young gay man who was brutally murdered and whose story was dramatized in The Laramie Project. The Drama Dept. produced The Laramie Project and students and faculty were so moved by it they decided to create this scholarship.
The Casey Sheehan Memorial Scholarship was created in 2006 and presented for the first time to Geraldine Cabero by activist and mother, Cindy Sheehan. It is to honor all the soldiers who died in Iraq and to promote non violent methods to resolve issues between people and among nations.
