Shell Offering Summer Internships to PTEC Students...

Dominic Austin, Human Resources Recruiter for Shell traveled out from Houston, TX in October to give LMC PTEC students a chance to test for an exciting internship opportunity on off-shore oil drilling rigs along the Gulf Coast this summer.

These are some of the exciting opportunities that await LMC PTEC students along with the continuing need from industry for our PTEC graduates for employee recruitment!

Scholarships available now for PTEC students...

With the Department of Labor Community Based Job Training Grant, LMC PTEC will be able to offer tuition reimbursement after our students complete their courses. Additionally, we have been granted scholarship funds from our industry partners KinderMorgan, The Industrial Association Inc. of Contra Costa County, Chevron, ConocoPhillips & Praxair. These generous donations will help our students with financial need purchase books and other supplies for the certification.

CCC Logo Expanded Course Offerings!

***PTEC 10 "Introduction to Process Technology" & PTEC 12 "Petrochemical Safety, Health and Environment" are being offered at the Contra Costa College campus in San Pablo beginning Fall 2008!

***PTEC 901- New hybrid (partially online) course announced for Spring 2009! This course is a 2 unit career exploration course with no pre-requisites. Check it out in the new LMC Spring 2009 Course Catalog!
