What does articulation mean?
Articulation means that the coursework taken by students in high school, ROP or Adult Ed is recognized as equivalent to the college course offered by the Post Secondary institution. This is called course-to-course articulation.
Prior to signing the agreement, the faculty at the post-secondary institution and the teacher at the high school meet to review the curriculum offered at the two different institutions. If these are equivalent the college will grant credit for the course taken at High School/ROP/Adult Education institution.
What does Pathway - Program to Program mean?
There are 15 nationally recognized Career Pathways. Each of the pathways is based on a different career cluster and it may include alignment of course skills, concepts, and sequences, among others.
High school/ROP/Adult Education curriculum within a career pathway may be aligned with the curriculum offered at Los Medanos College. This is called program-to-program career pathway.
