College Skills / Certificate of Achievement The Computer Science Department offers a variety of courses and certificates leading to placement and advancement in all types of jobs. A College Skills certificate will be awarded by the department based on the completion of the Foundation classes (11 units) from Level 1. A second College Skills certificate will be awarded for the completion of the Core Competencies courses (12 units) from Level 2. A Microcomputer Systems Specialist Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to those who successfully complete Level 1, Level 2, and 10 units from any of the classes under the Level 3 Specialized Areas.
