
Establishing the Internship with the Host Organization:
- The host
organization will interview you for the internship position.
- The internship
duration is usually for 2 months from March to April or from October to
November.
- For 1 unit
of college credit, you will work 60 hours (8 hours a week) or 120 hours
(16 hours a week) for 2 units of college credit, if you are not compensated.
- If you are
compensated or hired as a part-time employee, you will work 75 hours (10
hours a week) for 1 unit of college credit or 150 hours (20 hours) for
2 units of college credit.
- The work
hours are mutually decided by you and the host organization.
- Once you
are accepted as an Intern, a contract must be signed by you, the host
organization supervisor, the LMC Internship Coordinator and the Director
of Cooperative Education at LMC.
- The host
organization supervisor will monitor your progress throughout your internship
along with the LMC Internship Coordinator
