Eligibility Requirements
- You should be graduating with a certificate of 15 units or more in Travel Marketing - Certificate of Achievement (Level 2), Home-Based Travel Specialist Certificate, or an AS Degree in Travel Marketing (Level 3).
- You should have completed at least 12 units of courses in the Travel program should include Travel 72, Travel 76, and 3 units of Destination Specialist courses.
- Ideally, you will have also completed Travel 95 and have taken and passed the TAP test.
- You should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 ('B' average or higher) in your Travel courses.
- You should be registered in at least 6 units of Travel courses in the semester in which you plan to do the internship.
Eligibility Review
- Contact Debbie Wilson (dwilson@losmedanos.edu) or Chris McGill (cmcgill@losmedanos.edu) no later than the 3rd week of the semester in which you would like to do an internship.
- After you are approved for an internship, you will need to locate a travel agency or supplier that is willing to sponsor your internship.
- Contact the Employment office at 925-439-2181, ext. 3331 information and forms on getting started in your Co-op experience.
