The Travel Internship Program is a specially designed program for advanced travel students completing a certificate or degree of 15 or more units in Travel Marketing. It enables you to work in travel organizations to apply the skills you have learned at the college. The objective of the internship is to provide you with "hands-on", on-the-job training and experience. This experience will give you greater self-confidence in your skills and abilities.

The internship is also valuable experience for obtaining a future permanent position in the travel industry. It is a great addition to your resume and will help you make contacts in the travel industry. Many successful internships have lead to permanent positions with the sponsoring agency.

The internship is completed by working with a host organization in the Bay Area under the close supervision of the office supervisor. The internship is conducted in conjunction with LMC’s Cooperative Education (Co-op) program.
