Home-based travel is a very viable business alternative today for the highly motivated and entrepreneurial person.  Advances in information and electronic technology have enabled travel professionals to access professional information and resources online more easily. Many businesses have as a result “moved back home”!

CENTRAM has developed the country’s first accredited Home-Based Travel Specialist program.  The core of this certificate program is 6 seminars that take you step-by-step from defining a home-based travel business, to learning how to establish your own home-based business, to understanding the legalities of running this business.  As a home-based travel specialist, you should specialize in an area of interest to you. This specialization could be in a destination (for example, the Caribbean), or an activity (for example, luxury travel) or a type of traveler (for example, groups or seniors).

This 17-unit certificate can be completed in 2 semesters by a full-time student. All Core Courses are offered online.
