Continuing students should be eligible to enroll in either English 100 or Math 34 (or higher). Incoming high schools students are required to have passed Algebra 2 in high school.
AVID has traditionally served – but is not limited to – first generation college students, traditionally underrepresented in higher education, who are looking for ways to fulfill their academic potential.
After meeting with the AVID Coordinator for an orientation, students enroll in the 2 unit AVID course (EDUC 10) in either the Fall or Spring semester.
