This Spring, Los Medanos College is launching an effort to review, reassess, and revise/reaffirm its Mission Statement. This process is designed to be inclusive and engaging – providing all members of the campus community with multiple opportunities to contribute their voice toward the development of LMC's key institutional principle. A task force, established by the Shared Governance Council (SGC) and comprised of the College's constituency groups, will be guided by direction from SGC and the collective feedback of the College community. The goal of this process is to ensure that the Mission Statement articulates the purpose of the organization, captures the spirit of the campus culture, and frames planning and decision-making.
The survey will be available through Tuesday, February 19, and is open to all members of the College community (students, staff, faculty, managers, and community members). I urge all of you to fill out the survey, as it is important to have broad representation and diverse perspectives as part of the process.
